Qualifications

• Veterinary Assistant Certificate of Achievement, RVT, Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician
• 2 years field experience
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret materials related to area of expertise
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and course delivery software

Responsibilities

• Instruction and Curriculum Delivery: Prefers lessons and materials aligned with curriculum; follows syllabi; uses varied teaching methods.
• Student Support and Success: Maintains communication with students; provides advising, tutoring, and office hours.
• Assessment and Program Improvement: Regularly assesses student outcomes; contributes to program review and accreditation processes.
• Collaboration and Faculty Development: Participates in departmental meetings and cross-department collaboration; mentors new faculty.
• Compliance and Accreditation: Adheres to accreditation standards; documents grades and attendance in required systems.
• Other Duties: Ensures materials relevance; maintains classroom and lab equipment; handles additional tasks as assigned.
