Priority Pet Urgent Care in Happy Valley, Oregon, is seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our brand-new, state-of-the-art urgent care clinic. You will help triage and manage urgent cases, restrain and examine pets, collect samples, run diagnostics, and assist with anesthesia and treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Experienced Veterinary Assistant with at least 2 years of professional experience.
• Ability to properly restrain pets.
• Evening and weekend shift availability is required.
• Compassionate and calm team player.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in sample collection, medical histories, lab tests and radiographs is a bonus.
• Self-starter with desire to advance knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Restrain and triage patients; collect and analyze lab samples.
• Perform diagnostic imaging and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases.
• Assist with anesthesia, medications, and treatment plans; communicate with clients.
• Coordinate with the team in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
