Job summary

Goffstown Animal Hospital in Manchester, NH is seeking a Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our four-doctor practice. This full-time role offers a four-day work week with rotating Saturdays, no night shifts, and generous benefits while you deliver compassionate care to patients and support families.

You’ll assist veterinarians, prepare medications, perform lab tests, radiographs, and client education, while growing your clinical skills in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician.
• CVT/LVT/RVT status welcome but not required.
• Passion for veterinary medicine and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Perform venipuncture and support fluid therapy.
• Perform nail trims and anal gland expression.
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs and maintain imaging standards.
• Run in-house laboratory testing (CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology).
• Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence.
• Communicate with clients regarding patient care and preventive care.
