PetVet Care Centers' Belle Forest Animal Hospital in Nashville is seeking a Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Technician to join the team. The role focuses on delivering quality veterinary care and exceptional client service while supporting hospital operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a veterinary setting preferred.
• Ability to handle sick animals and hazardous materials safely.
• Professional communication and reliability.
• Physical stamina for lifting and stand/walk duration.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect samples, administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, restrain and position animals.
• Prepare supplies and equipment, maintain sterile environments and records.
• Communicate patient status to pet owners and document observations.
• Maintain inventory, sanitation, and safety compliance.
• Stay current with veterinary knowledge through training and reading.
