Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring high-quality care for pets. You will educate clients, maintain medical records, and assist with reception duties, inventory, and routine procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent experience preferred.
• 6+ months of experience in the veterinary industry.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and technicians in clinical tasks and patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical charts and client education on wellness plans.
• Assist with reception tasks: calls, scheduling, and patient intake/discharge.
• Assist with anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry as needed, following protocols.
• Handle inventory and hospital supplies; ensure sterile environment.
