Boston West Veterinary Emergency and Specialty is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to help support our surgery service located in Natick, MA.

Why Boston West? Our growing specialty and emergency surgery service is committed to delivering high-quality, personalized care to patients requiring advanced surgical treatment. You’ll work closely with our Board‑Certified Veterinary Surgeons and experienced ER and specialty teams while gaining exposure to a wide variety of soft tissue, emergency, and orthopedic procedures. Compensation

• $18 - $20 pending skill leveling assessment

Anticipated Schedule

Responsibilities

• Dive into the action alongside our skilled veterinary team, where you'll play a crucial role in performing procedures, administering treatments, and conducting diagnostics to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care and attention.
• Create a clean, organized, and inviting atmosphere for both our clients and patients, ensuring that every visit to Boston West is a positive and memorable experience for all.
• Join forces with your dedicated colleagues to deliver seamless and personalized care that caters to the unique needs of each individual pet, fostering a sense of trust and comfort in our compassionate community.
• Assist during appointments and communicate with clients, both in person and over the phone, ensuring clear and compassionate interactions.

• Ensure treatment areas and exam rooms are fully stocked, ready to support seamless and efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• You are an experienced Veterinary Assistant (or have a strong desire to develop your career in veterinary medicine) dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care.
• You understandthat clear, effective communication among clients and team members is a priority and are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
• You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value.
• You’re not afraid to jump in and get your feet wet! A diligent worker who takes initiative and contributes to the operation of the entire hospital, you will help get all the day’s duties done!
