Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our busy Staten Island emergency and surgery team. You will support doctors and technicians, restrain patients, collect samples, monitor vital signs, and assist with radiographs in a fast-paced ER environment.

We offer a collaborative, growth-oriented culture with flexible hours to support our 24/7 hospital. Experience with animals is valued, and licensure or certification reimbursements are available for eligible candidates.

About GSiVS: We are a multispecialty practice with boarded specialists in cardiology, surgery, and critical care. Our clients and patients also have access to internal medicine, ophthalmology, oncology, radiation oncology, neurology, dermatology, and radioactive iodine treatment via our affiliated practices in Woodbridge and Eatontown, NJ.

Veterinary Assistants at GSiVS work as part of the team, ensuring that all patients receive the best care possible ensuring a safe and smooth ER experience while at the hospital. The primary role for the assistant is to help facilitate the treatment and examination of patients by technicians and doctors. You can expect to do the following as an assistant in the ER:
