We are looking for an enthusiastic, results-oriented veterinary assistant

to join our growing team!

This is an expanded role that includes various administrative responsibilities. If you are someone who takes initiative, has strong customer-service skills, and wants to be part of a growing hospital, we want to hear from you. The ideal candidate is looking for an opportunity to advance their career in veterinary medicine.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to recognize and establish priorities and respond efficiently and effectively under stress
• Excellent communication skills, computer and phone skills
• Strong understanding of patient management software (Avimark preferred)
• High level of professionalism
• Strong attention to detail

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Assist with customer-facing duties at front reception while providing exceptional customer service to pet owners and assisting with client communication
• Assist veterinarians with animal examinations & treatments
• Handle and restrain animals during procedures with care and compassion
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in examination rooms and treatment areas
• Assist with laboratory procedures and sample collection as needed
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient information accurately

Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Basic patient care
• Surgical assistance
• Surgical cleaning
• Radiology assistance
• Medical record recording
