Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in delivering high-quality care to pets. The role involves educating clients, maintaining medical records, and ensuring a safe hospital environment.

You will assist with procedures, monitor hospitalized or surgical pets as allowed, and mentor other paraprofessionals while adhering to NAVTA guidelines and Banfield policies. Strong English communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA approved Veterinary Assistant program or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year related experience with customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality care for pets.
• Educate clients on pet health and hospital services.
• Maintain clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, labs and exam rooms.
