Responsibilities

• Assist with patient handling, diagnostic test setup, nursing care and discharge of patients as directed by veterinarian or veterinary technician.
• Provide, monitor, and document husbandry requirements for patients including cleanliness, nutrition, bedding, physical therapy, exercise and comfort.
• Perform assistant level assessments such as pain scoring or vital signs, and document observations in patient records.
• Assist with emergency department procedures including patient triage, transport and CPR support.
• Transport patients within and into/out of the hospital, and assist with cleaning equipment and sterilization.
• Conduct basic in-house lab tests (e.g., SNAP tests, PCV/TS, urine SG) and prepare lab forms and reports.
