Join the VCA Amor Animal Hospital Team in West Jordan, UT as a Veterinary Assistant. This part-time role supports the Doctor and Technician teams to create a calm client/patient experience and deliver high-quality care.

Key duties include assisting exams, taking medical histories and vitals, handling mild prescriptions where allowed, and performing basic lab work and imaging. The position emphasizes compassionate care, accurate records, and a strong team environment with competitive hourly pay

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Ability to take detailed medical histories and monitor vitals.
• Knowledge of how to fill prescriptions where permitted by law.
• Proficiency in performing basic lab work and diagnostic imaging.
• Commitment to accurate medical records and documentation.

Join The VCA Amor Animal Hospital Team as a Veterinary Assistant!

Location: West Jordan, UT

Part-Time

Pay: $16.00- 21.00/hr depending on experience

As a member of the VCA team, you will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
