Job summary

VCA Premier Animal Hospital in Cedar Park, TX is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for a full-time, varied schedule. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow within a six-doctor practice.

You will support the Doctor and Technician teams by delivering compassionate client care, assisting with exams, lab work, and imaging, and maintaining thorough medical records in a low-stress, supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or tech welcome.
• Ability to restrain and assist in exams and routine procedures.
• Perform basic lab work and diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities

• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Assisting Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
