Garden State Veterinary Services in Woodbridge, NJ is hiring veterinary assistants for our Emergency and ICU Departments. Join a multispecialty team and gain hands-on experience with advanced diagnostics in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has 2 years in an animal-related field, thrives in teamwork, and is flexible to an Emergency schedule. We offer competitive pay ($17–$24/hr) and a comprehensive benefits package, with opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Help keep the hospital stocked, clean and organized
• Run many different diagnostics in our laboratory
• Assist doctors and staff with safely restraining animals of different sizes and breeds
• Room clients and obtain a medical history
• Walk dogs
• Obtain vitals
• Place IVC and obtain blood samples
• Run laboratory tests
• Provide SQ Fluids and medications to patients with oversight
• Triage patients
• Calculate and administer medications

About GSVServices:

We are a multispecialty practice with boarded specialists in cardiology, internal medicine, surgery, radiology, and critical care. Our clients and patients also have access to ophthalmology, oncology, radiation oncology, neurology, dermatology, and radioactive iodine treatment.

Veterinary Assistants at GSVSservices work along technicians and specialists and have access to the most advanced diagnostic tools to provide the best possible care. On any given day, you can expect to do the following on your shifts:

Schedule:

• Emergency: Sunday - Wednesday 6pm - 8am OR Sunday - Wednesday 6pm - 4:30am
• ICU: Wednesday - Saturday 9:30pm - 8am

Salary: $17/hr to $24/hr depending on skills, experience, and credentials
