Veritas Veterinary Partners is hiring veterinary assistants to join our Emergency and ICU teams in New Jersey. The role focuses on supporting doctors, restraining animals, and delivering high-quality client care in a fast paced environment.

Veterinary Assistants

at GSVSservices work along technicians and specialists and have access to the most advanced diagnostic tools to provide the best possible care. On any given day, you can expect to do the following on your shifts:

• Help keep the hospital stocked, clean and organized
• Assist doctors and staff with safely restraining animals of different sizes and breeds
• Room clients and obtain a medical history
• Walk dogs
• Obtain vitals

Once trust is built with the team, you can expect to begin learning how to:

• Place IVC and obtain blood samples
• Run laboratory tests
• Provide SQ Fluids and medications to patients with oversight
• Calculate and administer medications

About you

• 2 year experience in animal related field
• Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment
• Ability to work an alternative schedule given the nature of the Emergency department
• Commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
• Positive outlook and friendly, team-orientated attitude
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• The ability to deliver exceptional client service
• Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun!

Schedule

Salary

$17/hr to $24/hr depending on skills, experience, and credentials
