BluePearl Pet Hospital in Olympia, WA is hiring an Oncology Veterinary Assistant. The role supports oncology patients through chemotherapy infusions, material preparation, and safe medication handling. Expect to participate in patient monitoring, restraint, and IV catheter care.

Your responsibilities include dispensing and administering SQ/IM chemotherapy, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean work environment. Growth through competency leveling is offered within Mars Veterinary Health.

Formación

• Experience or interest in oncology veterinary care.
• Ability to work with chemotherapy-related materials and safety protocols.
• Willingness to grow through competency-based leveling.

Responsabilidades

• Assist technicians and doctors monitor patients during chemotherapy infusions.
• Set up materials for short and long chemotherapy administration.
• Comfortable with restraint and safe handling of agents.
• Dispense, reconstitute, and administer SQ/IM chemotherapy agents.
• Stock and clean work areas.
• Wrap and shave for IV catheter placement.

Pay: $22 - $29 / hour

This is a starting point and dependent on leveling through our competency system.

As An Oncology Veterinary Assistant, You Will

• Assist the Technicians and Doctors monitoring patient who is receiving a chemotherapy infusion
• Ability to set up appropriate materials for short and long chemotherapy administration
• Comfortable with restraint
• Ability to safely dispense, reconstitute and administered SQ/IM chemotherapy agents
• Stocking and cleaning
• Ability to properly wrap and shave for an IV catheter for chemotherapy infusion
