As a Neurology Veterinary Assistant, you will:

1. Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
2. Discharge patients, perform callback calls, and refill medications.
3. Educate clients, gather histories, and communicate findings to the Clinician.
4. Perform physical exams; accurately measure heart rate, pulse, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate, and effort.
5. Understand normal vital parameters.
6. Be comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture.
7. Set up intravenous fluids.
8. Operate and troubleshoot all brands of intravenous fluid pumps.
9. Restrain patients during consults and diagnostics.
