• Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service to clients and pets at all times.
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with daily tasks and procedures.
• Help maintain the flow of patients through the clinic.
• Communicate with the veterinarian and veterinary technicians regarding client needs and patient status.
• Carry out or set up procedures that do not require assistance from a veterinarian or veterinary technician.
• Adhere to hospital standards that keep pets safe and keep the treatment areas, exam rooms, and laboratories clean and organized.
• Educate clients about the Optimum Wellness Plans and the importance of preventive care.
• Mentor other members of the hospital team.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to perform all required skills of NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant programs at a level that aids the efficiency of the practice.

Pay & Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $15.19 - $19.41 (based on experience, skill level, and education; may vary by location or applicable minimum wage laws).
