Veterinary Assistant – Banfield Pet Hospital
Banfield Pet Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients and team members while maintaining high quality care.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service to clients and pets.
- Assist with animal care, support procedures, and daily clinical tasks.
- Maintain the flow of patients, including intake and discharge.
- Communicate with veterinarians and veterinary technicians regarding patient status.
- Set up and carry out procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
- Adhere to hospital standards to keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean and organized.
- Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
- Mentor other team members.
Qualifications
- Certificate of completion from a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to perform all required skills of a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program at a level that supports practice efficiency.

- Hourly pay range: $15.19 – $19.41, based on experience, skill level, and location.
