Animal Care of Oradell is a privately owned small animal practice in Oradell, NJ seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and the care team. The role includes assisting with examinations and procedures, preparing rooms, and delivering compassionate patient care to families.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend shifts, both full-time and part-time opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• At least one year of veterinary hospital experience preferred, but training available.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong teamwork and organizational abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn and grow in veterinary care.

Responsabilidades

• Assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Safely handling and restraining patients using compassionate, low-stress techniques
• Preparing examination rooms, treatment areas, and medical equipment
• Monitoring, feeding, walking, and caring for hospitalized patients
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment
• Stocking supplies and assisting with inventory management
• Supporting client education and reinforcing home-care instructions
• Working collaboratively with team members to ensure excellent patient care
