Job summary

VCA A Breed Apart Animal Hospital in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited, 5-doctor practice. This full-time position is in a busy clinical setting, with duties ranging from venipuncture and catheter placement to radiology and surgical preparation.

You will help deliver compassionate client service and patient care, assist with exams, record keeping, dentistry, lab work and pharmacy tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary assistant roles beneficial
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Knowledge of medical records keeping and client communication

Responsibilities

• Assist in venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, exams and record keeping

VCA Animal Hospitals offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays, and sick days, health and well-being programs that provide resources and training. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The salary range for this position is $19 to $24, depending on experience.
