Job summary

CARE Veterinary Center in Frederick, MD, is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team within Thrive Pet Healthcare. You will assist clinicians during examinations and procedures, restrain cats and dogs safely, and support the hospital's daily operations to keep care moving smoothly.

Description

CARE Veterinary Center is looking for a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Frederick, MD.

About You

Providing hands-on assistance within the Internal Medicine department. Your work will include safely restraining cats and dogs for examinations and procedures, collecting free-catch samples and assisting technicians and DVMs during Internal Medicine procedures. In addition to direct patient care, you'll help maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked hospital, with a strong emphasis on clinic laundry and daily support tasks that keep the practice moving smoothly.

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a veterinary assistant

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $18 – $20 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
