Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare in Germantown, MD is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to support patient care and hospital operations. You will assist with treatments, run basic lab tests, prepare surgical packs, and help ensure appointments run smoothly from start to finish.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of direct patient care experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate a positive, self-motivated attitude with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Your rewarding work will range from the hands-on support of assisting with treatments and performing laboratory tests, to essential hospital duties including preparing surgical packs, stocking treatment areas, and helping ensure appointments run smoothly from start to finish.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 1 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Assistant (direct patient care)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $21 - $24 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
