Veterinary Assistant Instructor (LVT) PT

Instruct and implement the Veterinary Assistant program to educate students in accordance with the curriculum standards and objectives.

We’re seeking a part-time Veterinary Technician Instructor to teach on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 PM to 10 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise while shaping the future of the profession—all with a flexible schedule and competitive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with program curriculum.

  • Monitor student attendance, address absences, and submit weekly reports.

  • Track student progress, provide support, and maintain an 80% student success rate.

  • Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and submit grades promptly.

  • Organize guest speakers, field trips, and hands-on learning experiences.

  • Conduct lectures, demonstrations, and one-on-one student guidance.

  • Assist with program development, externship coordination, and supply inventory as needed.

  • Ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

  • Participate in community outreach initiatives (optional).

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree from an AVMA CVTEA-accredited program.

  • 3+ years of hands-on veterinary experience.

  • Current license/certification (LVT, or equivalent as required by state regulations).

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
