Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent education/training.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform required NAVTA-listed veterinary assistant tasks.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain patient flow and assist veterinarians and vet techs.
• Communicate with the veterinarian and the veterinary team.
• Carry out procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and areas clean.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.
• Mentor other members of the hospital team.
