Thrive Pet Healthcare's East San Rafael Veterinary Clinic in San Rafael, CA is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to support our patients from intake through discharge. You’ll provide end-to-end care, assist with outpatient treatments, and perform laboratory tests to ensure high-quality care.

This role emphasizes client communication, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with a team of veterinarians and technicians.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician/assistant experience required.
• Licensed Technician preferred, but not required.
• Proficient in IV catheter placement and injections.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Handling and caring for animals, including pre and post operative care
• Creating and presenting financial options and estimates
• Accurately entering service charges into the client processing database
• Extensive interaction with clients to ensure excellent service
• Preparing medications and assisting as needed
