Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners in San Rafael, CA is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to support our Internists and Technicians in a busy, 24/7 hospital environment. You will assist with communication of diagnostic results, patient care, and collaboration within a skilled team to ensure superior client service and patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Licensed Veterinary Technician credential or 2+ years as a veterinary assistant; anesthesia and endoscopy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Licensed Veterinary Technician with active credentials.
Experience as a veterinary assistant or enrolled in a veterinary program considered.
Experience with anesthesia and endoscopy preferred but not required.
Strong empathy and patient-care orientation.

Responsibilities

Facilitate scheduled appointments with a doctor
Record medical notes and client communications
Communicate with clients in person, phone and email
Assist with follow-up appointments and support the treating doctor
Restrain animals safely and provide patient care
Assist with radiographs
Prepare patients for ultrasound
Admit and discharge patients
Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and equipment
Manage inventory of IM supplies
