Qualifications

• One year veterinary experience as an assistant or technician preferred.
• Physical tasks and handling of animals and equipment described in duties and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients about pets and care.
• Triage patients with basic injury/illness assessment, gather patient information, and take vital signs.
• Perform diagnostic testing including radiographs and lab work.
• Assist with surgical procedures and monitor patients.
• Assist in taking radiographs.
• Administer IV and IM injections.
• Dispense controlled drugs.
• Place IV catheters and maintain feeding and urinary catheters.
• Monitor surgeries.
• Conduct lab diagnostics.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
