Job summary
New Canaan Veterinary Hospital in New Canaan, CT, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant with at least 1 year of experience to join our compassionate team. You will help maintain a clean, safe hospital environment and assist with patient care, exams, and treatments.
Responsibilities include restraining pets, assisting with diagnostic imaging, administering medications as prescribed, and supporting daily operations. We offer training and development to grow within the role.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of veterinary assistant experience preferred.
- Compassionate, calm, team player with multi-tasking and strong communication skills.
- Ability to properly restrain pets.
- Willingness to grow knowledge and skills through training.
- Maintain clean, sanitized exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and equipment.
- Support hospital operations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient hospital environment while supporting patient care and daily operations.
- Assist with restraining pets for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Assist with diagnostic imaging and accurately administer medications per prescribed plans.
- Support overall hospital operations and workflow as needed.
