Wilton Animal Hospital in Wilton, NH is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate, team‑oriented medical team. You’ll assist with patient care, handle restraint, take histories, and support veterinarians and technicians in examinations and treatments.

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care, handling, restraint, monitoring, and comfort.
• Obtain patient histories and other relevant patient information.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Collect blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples as directed.
• Perform basic diagnostic testing, including blood work and urinalysis, based on experience.
• Prepare laboratory samples for analysis.
• Prepare, clean, sanitize, and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Clean and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service and help build positive client relationships.
• Educate clients regarding patient care, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
• Collaborate with doctors, technicians, assistants, and reception team members to maintain an efficient daily workflow.
• Jump in wherever needed to support excellent patient and client care.
