Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary assistant experience.
• Availability to work weekends (Saturdays).
• Comfortable with computers and online tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communicator with clients.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Passionate about pets.

Responsibilities

• Recognize medical emergencies and illnesses.
• Assessing patients and monitoring vitals.
• Record vitals and assist doctors with diagnostics.
• Complete treatments as instructed by the doctor.
• Provide basic husbandry and nursing care.
• Monitor changes in patients and provide compassionate care.
• Assist in radiography capture and prep samples for labs.
• Run in-house labs and prepare medications.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Support tele-triage shifts (additional stipend).
• Maintain a hospitable environment for clients and pets.
