This role supports a collaborative doctor:nurse team, in state-of-the-art facilities with healthy staff ratios. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will recognize emergencies, record vitals, assist with diagnostics, prepare medications,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Availability to work weekends (Saturday or Sunday).
• Comfortable with computers and online tools.

Responsibilities

• Recognize medical emergencies and illnesses.
• Assessing patients.
• Record vitals and assist doctors with diagnostics.
• Complete treatments as instructed by the doctor.
• Provide basic husbandry and nursing care.
• Monitor changes in patients and provide compassionate care.
• Assist in radiography capture.
• Prepare samples for outside labs.
• Run in-house labs.
• Prepare medications and administer them.
• Support tele-triage shifts with additional stipend.
