Qualifications

• Previous veterinary assistant or clinical experience.
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint skills.

• Experience with venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Experience obtaining radiographs and assisting with imaging.
• Understanding of medication administration and pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide compassionate care from patient intake to discharge.
• Safely handle and restrain patients prioritizing comfort and safety.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
• Obtain high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards.
• Utilize Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques for patient comfort.
• Educate clients with clarity and confidence about care, meds, and discharge instructions.
