Banfield Pet Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Assistant in Bloomington, IN. You will support veterinarians and technicians, help maintain patient flow, educate clients on preventive care, and mentor other staff while upholding hospital standards for pet safety and clean facilities.

Preferred NAVTA-approved program or equivalent, plus a high school diploma is preferred. The role emphasizes compassionate care, professional service, and ongoing learning opportunities within Banfield’s wellness

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program required or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to assist veterinarians and technicians and educate clients.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure safety of pets and clients.
• Maintain flow of patients and communicate with veterinarians and vet techs.
• Carry out procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Mentor other members of the hospital team.
