WellHaven Pet Health - Lone Tree is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in providing excellent care for pets. The role includes client education, medical charting, and basic reception duties, all performed on-site at our Lone Tree hospital.

Candidates should have NAVTA-approved training and at least 3 years in veterinary settings, with proficiency in EMR and scheduling tools. The position involves shifts that may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Completion of NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the veterinary industry.
• Ability to learn EMR and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts with attention to detail.
• Educate clients on pet care, wellness plans, and hospital protocols.
• Handle reception duties: phone calls, scheduling, and patient intake.
• Assist with inventory management and hospital supplies.
