Community Veterinary Partners is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for the Pet Medical Center of Springfield in Springfield, VA. The role is full-time preferred with part-time considered, offering $20-$23/hour based on experience.

The position requires 2–3 years of clinical veterinary assistant experience, with duties including patient restraint, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, radiographs, and surgical prep.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of veterinary assistant experience in a clinical setting.
• Comfortable assisting with patient restraint, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, radiographs, and surgical preparation.
• Interest in dentistry and surgical support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during appointments and procedures.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia.
• Perform laboratory sample collection and diagnostic support.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and communicate clearly with clients.
• Support patient recovery, hospitalization, and daily treatment flow.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area.
