Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program completion or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure safe patient care.
• Maintain flow of patients and communicate with the team.
• Set up procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance.
• Keep treatment areas, exam rooms and labs clean and organized.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
