Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from patient intake through discharge.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Obtain high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards.
• Perform in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, and cytology.
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs during procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence regarding patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and thoroughly document patient care and treatments.
• Keep treatment and exam areas clean, stocked, and organized while following infection-control protocols.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain an efficient workflow and positive hospital culture.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional growth opportunities within the practice.
