Job summary

Rarebreed Veterinary Partners seeks a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our Rarebreed clinic team. You will help provide high-quality care for pets, assist DVMs, and support clients in a positive, family-like environment.

Expect a 4-day work week with no weekend hours, access to state-of-the-art training facilities, and a culture that values work-life balance. Prior animal hospital experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in an animal hospital preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Guide clients/patients to exam rooms and obtain history.
• Collect voided urine and fecal samples for testing.
• Assist DVM/LVT with treatments and execute orders.
• Maintain clean and sanitized cages and exam areas.
• Walk, feed, and clean up after animals as needed.
• Communicate with clients by phone and in person.
• Take radiographs and assist where appropriate.
• Fill prescribed medications and restrain animals as required.
