Cherryville Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital. You will assist during examinations by restraining animals, stock the examination and surgery rooms, sterilize tools, and ensure equipment is in working order.

You will also communicate with clients and update patient files. Ideal candidates are energetic, friendly, responsible, with strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task.

Qualifications

• Must have professional, dependable and good communication skills, able to multi-task.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs and handle animals during examinations.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams and procedures.
• Restrain animals when necessary and ensure patient safety.
• Stock examination and surgery rooms with supplies and maintain equipment.
• Update patient files and communicate with clients regarding care.
