Job summary

Cherryville Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians in a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice. You will restrain animals during exams, stock rooms, sterilize tools, and ensure equipment works while updating patient files and communicating with clients.

The ideal candidate will have professionalism, dependability, strong communication, and the ability to multitask. Flexible hours and some weekends required; on-site presence is essential to patient care and team

Qualifications

• Applicants must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task.
• Prior experience required (Veterinary/animal care or customer service) preferred.
• In-person attendance on-site is essential to support patient care, respond to time-sensitive needs, and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

Description

Our hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.

The Veterinary Assistant is responsible for assisting Veterinarians in the care of animals. The Assistant helps during initial examinations by restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, sterilizing tools and ensuring that equipment is in working order. Veterinary Assistants also communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files.

Applicants must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. Our next team member will be an energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours and some weekends.
