American Veterinary Group is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians in a fast-paced animal hospital. You will restrain animals during exams, stock rooms, sterilize tools, and ensure equipment is functional. You’ll also communicate with pet owners and maintain patient records.

The ideal candidate shows friendly professionalism, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task, with willingness to work flexible hours including some weekends.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience is required.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians in animal care and examinations.
• Restrain animals during initial exams when necessary.
• Stock examination and surgery rooms with supplies.
• Sterilize tools and ensure equipment is in working order.
• Communicate with clients and update patient files.
• Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and strong communication and organizational skills.
• Be available for flexible hours and some weekends.
