Job summary

VCA Sunrise Veterinary Group in West Islip, NY, is seeking a part-time relief Veterinary Assistant to join our GP hospital. The role includes compassionate patient care, client education, and support for medications, labs, imaging, dentistry, surgeries, and anesthesia. Weekend rotation required, with growth opportunities within a large veterinary network.

Qualifications

• Seasoned Veterinary Assistant or technician in training.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced GP hospital.
• Willingness to work weekend rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and client education.
• Assist with medications, pharmacy tasks and dosing.
• Collect and process lab samples.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging and dentistry.
• Prepare for surgery and monitor anesthesia.
• Maintain accurate medical records.

VCA Sunrise Veterinary Group is seeking a part-time relief Veterinary Assistant to join our GP hospital in West Islip, NY! We work hard to deliver the best medical care to each patient, and we are excited to welcome a likeminded professional to the team! The salary range for this position is $19 - $23 / hour

Schedule: Full Time, weekend rotation required.
