VCA Bayonet Point Animal Hospital in Port Richey, FL is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our General Practice team. If you are positive, motivated, and team-oriented, we want you on our staff, helping deliver compassionate care to our patients and their families.

We offer competitive pay ($16.00–$18.00/hour) and a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k), and tuition support.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician preferred (CVT/RVT/LVT) or student in training.
• Experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
• Positive and motivated team player with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations, patient assessment and recovery.
• Assist with anesthesia, intubation and monitoring.
• Administer IV fluids and calculate CRI.
• Conduct radiology and diagnostic imaging; communicate with clients.

Compensation:

$16.00 - $18.00 / hour is based on skill set, and experience.

Schedule:

Full time, weekend rotation required.

Veterinary Technician Duties Include

• Physical examinations, patient assessment, and recovery
• Intubation, anesthesia and monitoring
• IV fluid administration and CRI calculations
• Hands Free Radiology and diagnostic imaging
• Client communications and discharge
