VCA Newman Edgewater Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Edgewater, FL. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, client education, and support across anesthesia, radiology, dental, and medical recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or technician in training.
• Experience with anesthesia, surgery assistance, and dental procedures is a plus.
• Strong communication with clients and team, and reliable medical recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and monitoring.
• Assist with anesthesia and surgical procedures.
• Perform radiology, dental, venipuncture, catheter placement, and lab work as needed.
• Educate clients about diagnoses, treatment plans, and aftercare.
• Maintain accurate medical records and medication inventory.
