Job summary

VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency Team. The role is full-time with 4x10-hour shifts on a late swing schedule, located at 3021 Edinger Ave, Tustin, CA.

The position involves caring for hospitalized pets, assisting with procedures, and communicating with clients to ensure outstanding patient care. Responsibilities include maintaining medical records, preparing for and performing procedures, preparing medications,

At VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency Team.

Salary

$ 20 - $ 25 / hour

We believe in high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care, and making that happen through dedication and learning. The position is for 4 days, 10 Hour shifts. This will include at least one weekend day (unless you are a glittery unicorn that really, really wants to work Saturdays AND Sundays, which we would be happy to accommodate). Duties will include:

• Maintaining medical records.
• Preparing for and performing procedures and treatments.
• Preparing medications and prescriptions.
• Communicating in person and on the phone with clients.
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Assisting in procedures.
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets.
