Banfield Pet Hospital in Highlands Ranch, CO seeks a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients on pet health, and maintain a safe hospital environment. You will assist with procedures, monitor hospitalized pets, and help ensure high-quality care in a fast-paced team.

Requirements include NAVTA-certified program with education and experience, strong communication, and ability to multi-task.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-certified Veterinary Assistant program is required.
• Must be able to perform NAVTA approved skills to support practice efficiency.
• Must be at least 18 years old to perform radiography duties.
• One year related experience with customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians to maximize productivity and maintain patient flow.
• Provide professional, efficient service and prepare procedures requiring minimal supervision.
• Educate clients about wellness plans, preventive care and hospital services.
• Obtain information and history from clients and maintain complete medical charts.
• Ensure safety of pets, clients and staff and keep areas clean and sterile.
• Assist with surgery as applicable.
• Mentor paraprofessionals in the hospital.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
