Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous veterinary assisting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and their owners, record weight and vital signs.
• Triage patients, assist with examinations, and administer medications as directed by licensed staff.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and patient restraint.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
• Maintain and operate hospital equipment and records.
• Feed and groom patients as prescribed; monitor appetites and report changes.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of hospital and kennels.
• Adhere to safety regulations and carry out directions from DVM or LVT.
