Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital in San Francisco, CA is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our premier animal care team. The role involves greeting clients, managing records, assisting during exams, and caring for pets in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of veterinary experience, comfort with IV placement, anesthesia, and basic Microsoft Office skills. High school diploma or GED required; Veterinary Assistant diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine.
• Comfortable with IV catheter placement and phlebotomy.
• Comfortable with anesthesia.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience and basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Preferred: Veterinary Assistant diploma or program completion.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work.
• Ability to work 5 days per week with weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and registering clients and patients.
• Scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate medical records.
• Assisting during exams and procedures.
• Observing and reporting on patient behavior and condition.
• Supporting lab test setups and managing patient files.
• Feeding, walking, and monitoring patients.
• Taking vital signs and prepping for treatment.
• Keeping the facility clean, organized, and well-stocked.
