New Richmond Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians with patient care, monitoring hospitalized pets, and handling routine in-house lab work. The role includes cross-training with reception and assisting with surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in clinical practice and surgery as needed.
• Take histories, vitals, and weights during outpatient exams and educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor during procedures.
• Collect samples and perform in-hospital laboratory testing.
• Take and develop radiographs following safety procedures.
• Handle and restrain animals during exams.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and anesthesia as directed.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and equipment.
