Job summary

Day Heights Veterinary Clinic, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, seeks a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We provide high‑quality veterinary care with up‑to‑date techniques and compassionate service. This is a full-time role with alternating Saturdays (9:00am – noon) required.

The ideal candidate loves animals, communicates well with clients, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will support veterinarians and technicians across hospital areas and maintain safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a veterinary setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and restrain animals safely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist in appointments with doctors.
• Take client history and document observations in medical records.
• Educate clients on preventive care and follow up.
• Communicate patient or client concerns to relevant staff.
• Perform venipuncture, in-house labs, and prepare forms for outside labs.
